Pre-stressed industrial floors are a new technology in the manufacture of industrial floors and currently the most up-to-date solution to all major industrial flooring problems. They are an economical and high-quality concrete floor construction that requires long spans and high load-carrying capacity.
Concrete floors are made by using pre-stressed cables.
Pre-stressed industrial floor may be thinner than classically reinforced. Such a floor does not require dilatations, as this role is taken over by cables that are immersed in concrete in two directions and stressed with a special hydraulic tool, thus pressing the individual concrete slabs together.
Such a floor is without dilatations and junctions of apparent dilatations, so there are no critical points in these places.
• Most economical ratio between surface size and slab thickness
• Elimination of the possibility of concrete curling at dilatations and, by this, the probability of slab cracks in events of heavier loads
• High load carrying capacity
• Easy maintenance
